In a televised statement, IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini said the operation, part of the latest phase of the retaliatory campaign codenamed True Promise III, involved a substantial deployment of drones and missiles. “Fuel production facilities for fighter jets and the regime’s energy supply centers were targeted with a large number of drones and missiles,” Naeini stated.

He warned that the Iranian armed forces are prepared to escalate the campaign. “The offensive operations of the Iranian armed forces will continue with even greater force and scale if the acts of aggression persist,” he said.

Naeini also noted that Iran’s aerospace defense systems, operating under a unified national air defense command, intercepted and destroyed several incoming threats. “The IRGC aerospace defense system... successfully intercepted and destroyed three Israeli cruise missiles, ten drones, and dozens of hostile mini-drones in the affected regions,” he said.

This latest wave of strikes was launched late Saturday night, marking a continuation of Iran’s multi-pronged retaliatory effort that began the previous day. The renewed strike began at approximately 11:45 a.m. local time on Saturday, with footage circulating on social media showing missiles striking their targets.

Codenamed Ya Ali ibn Abi Talib, this stage of the operation coincided with the Islamic observance of Eid al-Ghadir, a significant date in the Shia religious calendar.

The main focus of the latest offensive has been the occupied port city of Haifa and its surrounding areas, where several key military and industrial installations are located. Israeli media reported that vital sites, including oil refineries and power infrastructure, were among those hit.

Footage showed a major fire engulfing the Haifa oil refinery, with plumes of thick, black smoke rising high into the air. Early assessments indicated that the resulting fire may have released hazardous chemicals into the atmosphere.

According to some regional outlets, Saturday night’s barrage marked the most extensive missile attack by Iranian forces against Israeli-occupied territory to date.
