The rumors said Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani had been injured following partial damage to his residence.
In a statement issued Sunday, the center warned against the circulation of such “misleading news aimed at influencing public opinion”, al-Furat News reported.
The center said it is continuing its public awareness campaigns in Najaf Governorate during Eid al-Ghadir celebrations, targeting pilgrims visiting the holy city of Najaf.
It also revealed the formation of a specialized unit to monitor rumors and issue immediate responses based on verified, reliable intelligence data.
