This year’s competition features 44 participants from 29 African countries, including 29 in the Quran memorization section and 15 in the Prophetic Sunnah section.
The participants have made it to the finals after passing the preliminary stages, which involved more than 80,000 participants from 1,840 Quran memorization associations and schools.
The event’s categories are memorization of the entire Holy Quran, memorization of ten chapters, and memorization of five chapters, as well as a special category on the Prophetic Sunnah, with three prizes allocated for each category.
The final stage is judged by a panel of judges consisting of a select group of Quranic and Islamic scholars from Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
