
The preliminary rounds of the second Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Competition for the Memorization of the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah began in Dakar on Friday.
Organized by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, the event features 100 participants representing 53 African countries.
Represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Senegal and in cooperation with the General Authority for Awqaf, the initiative aims to encourage memorization and instill core Islamic values through healthy competition.

As one of the ministry's key international programs, this competition strengthens cultural and spiritual ties across the continent, fostering a spirit of excellence and devotion among African youth, according to organizers.
