
According to the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, 66.6 million people visited the Two Holy Mosques during the month, an increase of more than 12 million from the previous period, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The authority said worshippers at the Grand Mosque totaled nearly 26 million, among them more than 100,000 who prayed in Hijr Ismail, while Umrah performers reached about 14 million.
Worshippers at the Prophet’s Mosque exceeded 23.2 million, including over 900,000 in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, and more than 2.3 million visitors conveyed greetings to the Prophet and his two companions.

The Ministry of Haj and Umrah, working alongside the authority, confirmed that the Umrah count included pilgrims from inside and outside the Kingdom, with international arrivals surpassing 1.7 million. In its statement on X, the authority provided average time measurements for rituals during the month:
“117 minutes to complete the full Umrah journey; 43 minutes for Tawaf; 49 minutes for Sa‘i between Safa and Marwa; 14 minutes to move from the courtyards to the Mataf area; 11 minutes to transition from the Mataf to the Sa‘i area.”

Officials said upgraded digital tools, improved logistics and real-time monitoring supported smoother movement inside the Grand Mosque.
They noted that sensor-based systems at main entrances help track attendance and guide crowd-management decisions in coordination with partner agencies.
