The president sent a message to a ceremony held in Kashmar, northeast Iran, on Friday to honor the memorizers of the 17th National Exam for Memorizing the Quran (Tarannum Wahi).

The national exam was held by the Mahd Quran National Institute.

“More than just being for recitation, the verses of the Holy Quran are an invitation to inner contemplation and a system of the light of wisdom that can illuminate our lives and behavior,” the president said in the message.

“In this transformative process, you, the bearers and reciters, have an unparalleled role in transferring the light of the Quran from the pages of the book to the context of collective life and making its effects more evident in society,” he stated.

Pezeshkian considered the Quranic event “a manifestation of your determination as educators and preservers of the Quran, a group that has come together not merely to listen or celebrate, but to manifest the true power of the Quran in life and to fulfill the mission that makes the light of revelation flow in hearts and behaviors.”

He added, “Just as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has repeatedly emphasized the importance of familiarity with the Quran and the effectiveness of its valuable teachings in life, your presence should make these luminous examples tangible in society.”

The president hoped that this divine gathering will be the beginning of a new chapter, “a chapter in which the Quran will not only be a sound in our ears, but also a force in our behavior, decisions, and the structure of our lives, so that the heavenly light will resonate throughout society, pave the way for change, and a Quranic, justice-oriented, and spirituality-oriented society will be formed.”
