Forum to Discuss Quranic Studies Conference Held by LA University

IQNA – An international forum featuring the recent Quranic studies meeting in Los Angeles will be held online today and next Saturday on the Zoom platform.

The International Quranic Studies Association (IQSA) held its Annual Meeting from November 13 - 16, 2025 hosted on the Loyola Marymount University campus in Los Angeles, California.  

It was organized in the form of 15 panels and 68 presentations.

Among the notable points in this year’s event was stronger presence of Iranian researchers compared to previous years, who were able to clearly demonstrate the position of Iranian Quranic studies with their scientific presentations and active participation.

Among them were Heidar Davoudi, Marzieh Sarvmeili, Mehdi Saleh, Vahid Safa, Mohammad Osmani, Mohsen Goodarzi, Zahra Moballegh, Elahe Mahdavi, Fatemeh Najarzadegan, and Zeinab Vesal.

In this regard, a number of Quranic researchers present at this meeting are scheduled to attend the special forum of the “Reflection” study circle and share their research achievements and experiences from this participation with the general public.

All researchers, students and those interested in Islamic studies can participate in forum, scheduled to be held online on December 6 and 13 on the Zoom platform at https://northwestern.zoom.us/j/96513862183.

It should be noted that the annual IQSA meeting is among the major annual events for Quranic studies in the world.
