
The first contenders in this round were from India, Jordan, Oman, Yemen, Egypt, and Libya, among other countries. This stage will be held in two parts: monitoring and judging.
According to the plan, the memorization monitoring is held both in person and online from December 6 to 11, and the judging of the memorization, recitation and Tarteel categories will be done from December 13 to 17.
The participants have previously sent their recitation files to the Quranic Affairs Center of the Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
In this round of the contest, representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran are Neda Moradi in Tarteel (women), Zahra Ansari in Quran memorization (women), Mohammad Mehdi Rezaei in Quran memorization (men), Mehdi Foroughi in Tarteel (men), and Seyed Jassem Mousavi in the recitation (men).
The jury of the competition in the men’s section includes Quran masters Mohammad Reza Abolghassemi as the head of the jury, Heydar Kasmaei as the technical supervisor, Abbas Imamjomeh as the judge of Tajweed, Saeed Rahmani as the judge of Waqf and Ibtida, Amir Aghaei as the judge of correct memorization, Amin Pouya as the judge of Sawt (voice), Saleh Atharifard as the judge of Lahn (tone), and Seyed Ahmad Moghimi as the head of the technical committee.
Also, in the women’s section, Houriyeh Oqbaei is the head of the jury, and Fatemeh Sadat Hosseinifar serves as the technical supervisor. Hajar Ezzat Pajouh is the judge of Tajweed, Fatemeh Parvizi Nosrat is the judge of Waqf and Ibtida, Najmeh Shabani Ghahrudi is the judge of correct memorization, Rezvan Jalalifar is the judge of Sawt, and Samaneh Kouchaki is the judge of Lahn.
The final stage of the competition will be held after the results of the preliminary round are announced by the Quranic Affairs Center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
The International Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is annually organized by the country’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
