Iran President Hopes for Realization of World Peace, Justice, Freedom in Christmas Message

IQNA – In a message to the Pope Leo XIV, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated the leader of the Catholic Church on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (AS).

“I sincerely congratulate Your Excellency on the auspicious birth of Jesus (AS), son of Mary (SA) and the beginning of the New Year 2026,” Pezeshikan wrote in his message on Thursday.

“The birth of Jesus Christ (AS) is a reminder of his spiritual qualities, including nobleness, fighting oppression, and having compassion, which have also been praised in the Holy Quran. I hope that by following the divine commandments and the precious teachings of the prophets, we will witness the realization of justice, peace, and freedom throughout the world.”

Pezeshkian added, “In the present era, when the crimes of superpowers, due to their unlimited power, are pushing the global community towards war and destruction, solving human problems requires collective wisdom, a new perspective, thinking, and reflection. Therefore, with effective actions by statesmen and thinkers who are not dependent on the interventionists in the field of influence and wealth, a new path can be found towards the realization of peace, security, and freedom for all oppressed and oppressed nations.”
