
Ahmed Fayeq said the audience always likes programs with meaningful content.
He added that the success of this show has exceeded the expectations of the its producers.
A fixed time has been set for this show and its new season is scheduled to be broadcast in November every year, according to Fayeq.
Referring to the production process, he noted that preparations for this show took about a year and a half, and the competition began with the participation of about 14,000 people from all over Egypt.
The evaluation of the recitations was carried out by a judging committee appointed by the Egyptian Awqaf minister, with the special attention of senior Al-Azhar scholars, and 300 people advanced to the second stage of the competition, he said.
He added that they competed intensively for three consecutive days at the Egyptian International Awqaf Academy, and 32 people were selected to compete in the final stage.
“The number of viewers of the program has exceeded millions, and we are currently working with the program team to present a new approach that will maintain the success of the first season and at the same time offer many surprises in the second season.”

He concluded by saying, “We are working as a team with the ministry of Awqaf, which provided all the facilities for the success of the program in the first season, and the program team is working on the details in various ways.”
The first season of the State of Recitation program is produced in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and the United Media Services Company in Egypt, with the aim of identifying talents and outstanding reciters from different provinces of the country.
This program is broadcast on the satellite channels Al-Hayat, CBC, Al-Nas, Misr Al-Quran Al-Karim, and the “watch it” platform, and the broadcast time of this program is 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays every week.
It offers a total prize pool of LE 3.5 million. The first-place winners in both the recitation and intonation categories will each receive one million pounds, in addition, they will have the entire Quran recorded in their voices and broadcast on the “Misr Quran Karim” channel.
They will even be given the honor of leading the Taraweeh prayers at the Hussein Mosque during the upcoming month of Ramadan.

The program features a high-level judging panel comprised of prominent religious and scholarly figures from the Islamic world: Hassan Abdel-Nabi, Taha Abdel-Wahab, Mostafa Hosny, Taha Al-Nuamani.
It also includes a number of special guests: Osama al-Azhari, Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, Ali Gomaa, Ahmed Nuaina, Abdel-Fattah al-Tarouti, Jaber al-Baghdadi, the British scholar Muhammad Ayoub Asif, and Morocco’s Omar al-Qazabri.
