IQNA – People from different walks of life took part in a funeral procession held in Tehran Wednesday for those martyred in recent riots.

A large number of people, families of martyrs and senior officials of the country took part in the procession that began at the main gate of the University of Tehran.

The participants renewed allegiance with the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and praised the braveries of the martyrs of Iran’s security.

Violent rioters backed by the Zionist regime and the US vandalized public and private properties in a number of cities across Iran on Thursday and Friday, killing some ordinary people and security forces and inflicting injuries on others.

They vandalized public properties, blocked streets, attacked the administrative buildings and police stations, and killed and injured a number of security and law enforcement forces.

On Tuesday, rallies were held across Iran to condemn the rioters and their backers, the US and the Israeli regime.
