Pilgrims Attend Eid Al-Maba’ath Celebration in Najaf Shrine

IQNA – The holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq, hosted a grand celebration marking Eid al-Maba’ath.

A large number of pilgrims from different parts of Iraq and other countries took part in the festive event.

The celebration was also attended by the servants of the holy mausoleum.

Maba’ath marks the appointment of Muhammad ibn Abdullah (PBUH) as the prophet of Islam in the seventh century.

It is celebrated by Muslims all over the world on the 27th day of the lunar Hijri month of Rajab, which falls on Saturday, January 17, this year.
