It will be organized by the Women’s Quranic Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine, Al-Kafeel reported.

The festival will start at 9:00 am in the courtyard of the Women’s Quranic Center in the Al-Karama district of ​​Najaf.

Sayidah Fatima Sahib, from the information department of the center, said the center's staff has made special preparations for holding the fifth edition of the event, and the responsibilities of the related committees have been fulfilled in order to hold it in the best possible way and in a manner worthy of the blessed name of Hazrat Abbas (AS).

She added that the preparations include meeting the needs of the festival and supervising the training of theatrical performances and various sections that will be presented in it.

She noted that Quran recitations and theater performances, singing and a research competition that has been added to this period will be among the sections of the festival.

Rehab Hussein, a member of the festival’s media committee, said that in accordance with the festival’s slogan, a research competition on the life of Hazrat Abbas (AS) has been organized with the aim of outlining the moral and spiritual values ​​of the revered figure.

In this competition, 50 research papers have been received from different provinces of Iraq, 21 of which were accepted, and 3 papers were nominated for the top three positions, she stated.
