Wednesday to Be First Day of Shaaban: Leader’s Office
This is according to a report from the Istihlal (moon-sighting) Headquarters of the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
The information website of the Office for the Preservation and Publication of the Works of Ayatollah Khamenei cited the report, noting that the month of Rajab will have 30 days this year and, therefore, the beginning of Shaaban 1447 will fall on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Selected observation groups carrying observation equipment began Istihlal efforts across the country on Monday evening.
