Decoration of Imam Ali Shrine on Occasion of Sha’aban Eids

IQNA – The holy mausoleum of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq, has prepared to celebrate the blessed Sha’aban Eids.

The servants of the mausoleum’s Astan (custodianship) have decorated the porches and the holy courtyard with banners.

The Astan has created a sense of joy and happiness throughout the shrine on the auspicious occasions.

These measures were carried out within the framework of spiritual programs and celebrations of the blessed month of Sha’aban.

Every year, various ceremonies are organized in different parts of the world on the birth anniversaries of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS), which respectively fall on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of the lunar Hijri month of Sha’aban (January 23, 24, and 25 this year).

Muslims also celebrate the 15th day of the month (February 4 this year) which is the birthday anniversary of the 12th infallible Imam (may God hasten his glad advent).
