Hezbollah Chief Pledges Allegiance to Islamic Revolution’s Leader

IQNA – Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement Sheikh Naim Qassem in a message congratulated the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution and pledged allegiance to Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei.  

“With great joy and pride, we received the news of Your Excellency’s rightful and worthy election by the Assembly of Experts in the Islamic Republic of Iran as Leader and Marjaʿ (source of religious authority) — a blessed and sincere successor committed to guarding the path of Imam Khomeini (RA), a path to which Imam Khamenei (RA) devoted his precious life and the blood of loyal martyrs, to preserve Iran’s independence and its authentic Muhammadan identity,” the Hezbollah leader said in the message.

“We in Hezbollah of Lebanon, while thanking Almighty God for His abundant bounties in enabling our political, moral, and revolutionary progress — a steadfast resistance inspired by the blessed Islamic Revolution of Iran and by the liberating, independence‑seeking cause, and guided by Sayyid Abbas al-Musawi, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, and Sayyid Hashem Safieddine (may Allah be pleased with them) — extend our heartfelt congratulations on your meritorious election.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem added, “We affirm that, just as we pledged allegiance to our martyr leader and guardian, Imam Khamenei, and to our founding Imam Khomeini (may Allah be pleased with them both), we remain firm in our covenant with your leadership — for the service of faith, truth, and humanity, and to prepare the ground for the emergence of justice through the blessings of the Master of the Age (may Allah hasten his reappearance).”

He concluded by saying, “On behalf of myself and my brothers in the Hezbollah Council and the commanders and Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, we renew our pledge of loyalty to you and pray that Almighty God grant you success in realizing the aspirations of your nation and of all oppressed peoples — to free them and their lands from the harm of tyrants and oppressors.”

Following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a US-Israeli attack on February 28, Iran’s Assembly of Experts on March 8, 2026 elected Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Leader.

In response to the US-Israeli aggression, which also led to the martyrdom of a number of senior military commanders and hundreds of civilians, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4, carrying out massive missile and drone attacks on Israeli targets and US bases in the region.
