Ayatollah Khamenei’s Martyrdom Strengthened Resistance, Iran: Iraqi Quranic Figure
Natiq al-Zarkani sent a video message to IQNA to commemorate the 40th day of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with a number of senior Iranian commanders and officials, was martyred in a US-Israeli airstrike on his office in Tehran on February 28, 2026.
The message of al-Zarkani is as follows:
The blood of martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had a positive impact on the resistance. We were deeply moved and saddened by his martyrdom. But what strengthened our faith and that of many people was the sanctity of this martyr’s blood, which had a positive impact on the resistance.
This positive impact united and consolidated the Iranian nation. This pure blood united the people of Iran and caused the failure of the Zionist regime and the United States of America’s project that the Iranian nation would rise up against the government. Thanks to the blood of this martyred leader, the Iranian nation was united and these projects failed.
God Almighty has placed wisdom in this matter that may not be obvious to some of us. But for those of wisdom and knowledge who follow behind the scenes of these events and see the positive aspects of things, this wisdom is obvious.
It is true that we were deeply affected by this incident, spiritually and emotionally. I believe that there is no believer and Muslim who has not been affected by the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. But as I said, by the grace of God, this pure and innocent blood had positive effects. When an incident occurs, we must consider its positive aspects, even if it is difficult and painful. There is definitely a wisdom in this matter that others understand.
