IQNA – The Vali-Asr Square in Tehran was the scene of a gathering of Iran’s Quranic community Tuesday night.

The Quran reciters, memorizers, experts and activists attended a gathering in Tehran on the Arbaeen (49th day after) of the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei (April 7, 2026).

The Quran reciters, memorizers, experts and activists attended the gathering along a large number of people on the Arbaeen (49th day after) of the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

They made a new covenant with the ideals of the revolution and leadership with a firm statement.

In this gathering, figures such as Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Kazem Roohbakhsh, Hojat-ol-Islam Qolamreza Qassemian, and Ahmad Abolqassemi - judges of the television program “Mahfel” - each explained the concepts of jihad, resistance, and religious responsibility from a different angle.

Referring to the history of early Islam, Hojat-ol-Islam Gholamreza Qassemian recalled scenes from the Battle of Badr and said, “Where the anxiety of the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) had prevailed in the face of the huge enemy army, this anxiety turned into peace with the command of the Prophet (PBUH) to call for help, and divine help descended on them in the form of unseen aid.”

Linking this narration to today’s conditions, he pointed to verses from Surah An-Nisa and said hypocrisy is a hidden but serious danger.

“Deviating from the country’s strategic interests, including the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, is a sign of this hypocrisy; an issue that plays a vital role in the economy and national authority.”

Next, Hojat-ol-Islam Roohbakhsh addressed the social uprising of the people from the beginning of the Third Imposed War to the present with an educational perspective and said the presence of the people in the past 40 days has provided a unique opportunity for the growth of society.

Emphasizing the role of these real fields in cultivating the personality of the young generation, he said what is formed in the context of these movements sometimes has a value beyond years of formal education.

The participation of adolescents and young people in jihadi activities and service provision plants the seeds of self-confidence and dignity in them and puts them several steps ahead of their peers, he stated.

Next, Ahmad Abolqassemi recited verses from the Glorious Quran.

He also delivered a speech. He referred to the meeting with the defenders of the homeland and said there are men standing next to the launchers who may never return home after each shot.

“For these warriors, there is no more pleasant image than the passionate presence of the people in the streets; a presence that gives them meaning and motivation.”

The ceremony ended with the reading of the statement of the Quranic Society; a statement that was read by Fatemeh Shirazi, the memorizer of the entire Holy Quran, in both Arabic and English.
