Quran’s Logic against Arrogance: Resistance against Excessive Demands
Speaking to IQNA, Seyed Javad Sadat Fatemi said the trend of arrogance, with its inherent characteristics of hegemony and excessive demands, always seeks to bring nations to their knees.
“In the face of such an approach, the Quran neither recommends the path of compromise nor accepts submission.”
He added, “If we study the thoughts of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei) carefully, we clearly understand that, when faced with various issues, from the analysis of global and regional events to the country's internal issues, he always relied on the intellectual system of the Quran and outlined the path of leadership on this basis.”
Sadat Fatemi continued, “In relation to the Western world and the trend of arrogance, we have heard many times from the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who, citing divine verses, emphasized that there is no possibility of synergy and fundamental agreement with such a trend; because the nature of arrogance is based on hegemony, world domination, and bringing nations to their knees, therefore our nation can never succumb to such an approach and is forced to stand and resist.”
He said this logic is rooted in the teachings of the Quran; where it says (in Verse 39 of Surah al-Anfal): “And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah;…,” which expresses the divine duty in the path of confronting sedition and establishing the truth.
Stressing that we are obliged to resist the arrogance of the arrogant front, the veteran Quran activist said in order for people to be able to achieve a more accurate and deeper understanding in analyzing regional and global issues, familiarity with the Holy Quran is an undeniable necessity.
“This familiarity with the word of revelation brightens the horizon of a person’s vision and brings him closer to understanding the realities. It may be surprising to some how the predictions of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution were consistent with reality with exemplary accuracy; however, the root of this accuracy lies in the Quranic perspective itself. Whenever analyses are formed based on the teachings of the Quran, it is natural that they will be more consistent with current realities. Therefore, the more people’s familiarity with the Quran increases, the closer their decision-making and lifestyle will be to efficiency.”

Sadat Fatemi emphasized the role of Quran activists in the current conditions of society, saying they can influence different layers of society by designing and implementing various programs and provide a basis for greater familiarity with Quranic ideas.
“For example, in the age group of children and adolescents, direct transmission of deep interpretive concepts is not easily possible, because it requires intellectual maturity and analytical power; but through familiarity with the voice of the Quran, the seeds of love and affection for the word of revelation can be planted in their hearts so that they will be ready to benefit from its deeper teachings in the near future.”
He went on to say that in addition to this field presence, explaining as much as possible the Quranic ideas of the martyred Leader is of great importance.
“Reciting verses of the Quran and highlighting teachings that pave the way for today’s generation can play a role in strengthening public morale and preparing society to continue the path of resistance and protect religious and national identity. Also, the unique role of the media should not be overlooked, because the accurate and artistic reflection of what is happening in society can help deepen this trend and influence public opinion.”
