Quran, Sunnah Contest for African Countries Planned in Senegal

IQNA – The second annual Quran and Sunnah competition for African countries will start later this week.

The competition will take place in the Republic of Senegal from April 24 to 29, the Saudi newspaper Al-Youm reported.  

The event is held with the efforts of the religious attaché of the Saudi Embassy in Senegal and in cooperation with the General Department of Endowments of this country, with the aim of promoting the memorization of the Quran and Sunnah among African Muslims, encouraging them to understand and reflect on the meanings of the Book of God, instilling Islamic values, stimulating the spirit of healthy competition in good deeds, and raising a generation committed to moderate Islamic principles.

There will be 100 participants from 53 African countries, according to the organizers.

The contest will serve as a leading model for strengthening the connection between generations with the Quran and Sunnah, strengthening the values ​​of moderation and balance, and identifying talented individuals in memorizing the Quran and sciences related to this divine book.
