
The meeting aimed to strengthen religious identity, expand institutional cooperation and support Muslim communities in Europe.
The southwestern German city of Blaubeuren hosted the meeting on April 26, 2026, with the participation of members of the Albanian Muslim community and representatives of the Islamic Grand Mosque of the Republic of Kosovo.
It was held as a platform to promote religious awareness and strengthen the cultural identity of the Albanian Muslim community; this is of particular importance in immigrant communities and highlights the role of cooperation between religious institutions and Muslim communities.
Sheikh Akram Simnitsa, head of the Community Affairs Department of the Islamic Grand Mosque of Kosovo, in a speech emphasized the role of mosques in preserving religious identity and said, “Mosques in Blaubeuren are not only places of worship, but also play a fundamental role in education, religious upbringing and connecting new generations with their cultural and religious roots.”
He also conveyed the message and greetings of Sheikh Naim Turnava, head of the Islamic Grand Mosque and Mufti of Kosovo, to the attendees, adding that this religious institution continues to support the Albanian Muslim community abroad through religious and institutional programs to strengthen the sense of belonging and social stability among them.
A number of religious figures from the Albanian Muslim community from different European countries were present at the program, which shows the connection and solidarity of these communities with their religious and cultural roots.
At the end of the meeting, the mosque officials were also honored. Saadullah Jamli, the head of the mosque, and Shamsi Taheri, the secretary of the mosque, received a plaque of appreciation for their efforts in serving the Albanian Muslim community and strengthening the religious and social presence of Muslims.
