Iranian Qari Hamed Shakernejad, Spanish Envoy Meet in Tehran

IQNA – The Spanish ambassador to Iran, in a meeting with prominent qari Hamed Shakernejad, condemned the recent aggression against Iran.

Antonio Sanchez Benedito Gaspar emphasized the need for solidarity among nations and stressed the role of divine culture and religions in confronting oppression and violence, according to the Public Relations Office of the Quranic Diplomacy Foundation.

The Spanish envoy referred to Iran’s historical and civilizational background and said Iran is a country with rich civilization and history that was subjected to an unfair attack.

Iranians have been creators of eye-catching arts for centuries, which shows their great spirit and rich and peace-loving culture, he stated.

“We have proven that we stand by our friends in difficult times and are ready to take effective measures to establish peace. Oppression and violence have always been condemned and this is the common teaching of all divine religions,” he stated.

In this meeting, Shakernejad, who serves as the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Quranic ambassador, referred to global developments and said many political and historical experts believe that the world is on the verge of a historical turning point, and we also believe that the new era will belong to civilized, moral, and righteous nations.

Undoubtedly, cultural alliances between genuine and civilization-building nations will determine the future of political, economic, and social relations in the world, he stated, adding that the support of the Spanish nation and government for the oppressed but powerful nation of Iran is a sign of their originality, honor, and human spirit.

Shakernejad also referred to the teachings of the Holy Quran and said avoiding war and strengthening the sense of altruism is in fact clinging to the divine rope; the same advice that the Quran calls upon humans to follow.

During the meeting, the CEO of the Quranic Diplomacy Foundation explained the foundation’s international capacities and programs in the field of cultural and Quranic interactions, and introduced areas of joint cooperation, which was welcomed by the Spanish ambassador.
