Leader Highlights Capacities of Persian for Promoting Islamic Iran’s Culture Worldwide

Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei made the remark in a message released Friday on the occasion of the day of commemorating the great Iranian Poet Abol Qassem Ferdowsi and the Persian Language Day.

The message is as follows:

In addition to being a means of speech and writing, the Persian language constitutes the framework of cognition and the communication thread of thought and the boundaries of identity for Iranians. Persian language and literature are one of the greatest capacities for promoting the rich culture and civilization of Islamic Iran worldwide; and the advice of our wise and martyred leader, (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei), to strengthen the Persian language is the beacon of the path of authority for the Iranian-Islamic civilization.

In the Third Sacred Defense, as in the previous two imposed wars, the dear Iranian nation proved that Ferdowsi’s mythical stories were the reality of their lives and heroic personalities, and that the humanizing, heroic, and Quranic concepts of the Shahnameh made all Iranian ethnic groups and classes sympathetic and supportive in preserving their identity, authenticity, and independence and fighting the aggressors who are like Zahhak. This epic of presence, defense, and victory places a great task on the shoulders of the people of culture, literature, and art to rise up like Ferdowsi and establish the mission of artists in line with the mission of the people; to blend thought, pen, and language with art, and to perpetuate the narrative of the nation’s great uprising in history.

On the other hand, the zealous resistance and proud victory against the invasion of the demons of the world have prepared the nation to safeguard its civilizational independence and confront the linguistic, cultural, and American lifestyle invasions, so that with the initiative and innovation of cultural activists in order to provide linguistic and discursive defense and the growth and development of children, adolescents, and youth, it can complete the remaining stages to the final victory with greater steadfastness, with the help of Allah Almighty.
