Quran Memorization Office Opens in Egypt’s Sinai

IQNA – The Amal Holy Quran Memorization Office was inaugurated in a ceremony in Egypt’s Sinai Governorate.

The office was launched by Major General Khaled Mujawar, Governor of North Sinai, in the city of Hasna in Central Sinai, Al-Youm News reported.

The move was in line with the Egyptian government’s efforts to promote religious awareness and human development.

The governor was accompanied by Marzuk Raziq Salem, Chairman of the Hasna City Council, Walid Amin Abdel Hamid, Secretary of the City Council, along with a group of sheikhs and tribal leaders of Central Sinai and relevant executive officials.

At the opening ceremony, Mujawar met with a group of children and students registered at the center and presented them with gifts and prizes to encourage them.

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of Quran memorization centers and said memorization of the Holy Quran is a strong fortress for children in Sinai.

The Governor appreciated the efforts of the officials of the Amal Center, emphasized the full support of the Governorate for all measures aimed at spreading sound religious knowledge and culture in the cities and villages of Sinai.

He stated that the citizens of Sinai are the main axis of development and that his office is always open to hearing the demands of the people in every part of the province.
