The Al Khalifa regime’s agents arrested a number of scholars, preachers, Quran reciters and other Shia activists.

Continuing the wave of arrests and repression of Bahraini Shias, the Manama regime’s agents on Wednesday arrested 20 scholars, preachers, Quran reciters and other Shia activists on charges of collaborating with Iran, according to Mirat Al-Bahrain.

Sayed Yassin Mousavi, Sheikh Ali al-Mustarishd, Sheikh Ja’far Ashour, Sheikh Nazir Malik and Sheikh Mahmoud Taheri are the five Shia scholars who were abducted and taken away by the Al Khalifa agents in a raid on their homes.

With the arrest of these individuals, the total number of Shia scholars who have been arrested in Bahrain since the beginning of the American-Zionist aggression against Iran has reached 58.

It is worth mentioning that the new wave of arrests and repression of Shias and scholars in Bahrain began after the US and Israel launched attacks against Iran through their bases in Bahrain, and, in retaliation, Iran targeted those bases with missiles and drones, an action that was widely supported by the Bahraini people.
