Malaysian Minister: Martyr Khamenei Pioneer of Islamic Renaissance in Muslim Ummah
Malaysia's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Mohamad Sabu praised the martyred Leader, describing him as a leader whose influence extended far beyond material wealth and whose legacy would continue to inspire the Muslim world.
In an interview on the occasion of the funeral procession of Martyr Khamenei, Sabu said the late Leader was "the richest man in the world," explaining that his true wealth lay in the devotion and support of the Iranian people rather than in material possessions.
"He did not need a car or a house," Sabu said. "The whole of Iran and its 90 million people were with him. His wealth was Islam and serving the Islamic cause."
The Malaysian minister expressed confidence that the ideals championed by Martyr Khamenei would endure after his passing, saying Islam would continue to advance through his inspiration.
He described the late leader as "a real leader" who followed the path of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), adding that he viewed Martyr Khamenei as "the pioneer of the Islamic renaissance in the Muslim Ummah today."
Commenting on international affairs, Sabu sharply criticized the United States and its double standards on human rights. He said that countries claiming to defend human rights had remained silent over the killing of civilians, including children.
The Malaysian minister also argued that global power dynamics are changing, claiming that U.S. influence is declining and that even many European countries are no longer fully aligned with Washington.
Referring to the conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, Sabu said he believed it marked the beginning of a broader shift in the global balance of power. He concluded by expressing hope that Iran would play a leading role in shaping the future of the region and the wider world.
