
The Astan has set up the cultural Moukebs on three main routes leading to the holy city of Karbala, including the routes from Baghdad, Najaf and Babylon, Al-Kafeel reported.
They have been established with the participation of a number of departments of the Astan and aim to provide religious, cultural, intellectual, cognitive and awareness-raising programs to the Arbaeen pilgrims.
Sayyed Ahmad Sadiq, responsible for the cultural Moukeb on the Najaf route, said the Moukeb welcomes thousands of pilgrims from different countries every day.
He noted that the the Najaf-Karbala route is one of the most important and busiest routes for pilgrims to the holy city of Karbala.
The Moukeb continues to present its cultural, religious and educational programs; programs that play an effective role in raising the level of religious and cultural awareness of pilgrims, he stated.

According to Sadiq, the activities of this Moukeb include holding cultural competitions, implementing religious guidance programs, organizing a book and publication exhibition, as well as a series of diverse interactive programs and activities for pilgrims.
