Nahj-ul-Balaqa is a collection of sermons, letters and miscellaneous sayings of Amir-al-Momeneen Imam Ali (AS) compiled by Shia scholar Sayyid Radhi.

The Tuesday ceremony was held at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance with the participation of Ali Jannati, the culture minister, and a number of other officials.

Jannati addressed the event, and introducing the copy said it was inscribed in Naskh, which is one of the most splendid inscriptions in the Persian Language.

He described the copy as a magnificent work that should be kept in a museum and put on display at the Quran University for people to see.

Culture ministry’s arts deputy Hamid Reza Shahabadi also addressed the ceremony describing the features of the Nahj-ul-Balaqa gold copy.

He said it was inscribed in Naskh by Ali Reza Behdani in one year, adding that the copy has 60 8 by 8 gold pages.

Shahabadi noted that Behdani had previously calligraphed the largest gold copy of the Quran, which he gifted to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Supreme Leader gifted it to the Astan Quds Razavi Museum.

On the sidelines of the unveiling ceremony, the culture minister answered questions posed by reporters on different cultural and arts issues.
