Islamic Humanities Global Award to Be Granted in Tehran

The first Global Award of Islamic Humanities will be granted at the second edition of Islamic Humanities International Congress to be held on November 18 and 19 in Tehran and the holy city of Qom..


Rafi’i Atani, scientific secretary of the congress, said that the award is the point towards the climax of Islamic humanities featuring the scientific approaches and objectives of the congress.



He said that a large number of works in this field including 69 books, 121 papers and 7 thesis have been sent to the secretariat of the international congress.



From among the scholars and researchers attended the congress, 5 ones have been considered as qualified to be granted the international award, he added.



The secretary noted that the first edition of the congress was mainly attended by seminary students but the second edition of the program has attracted more academic figures.



10 specialized commissions have been formed in which about 40 to 60 papers will be investigated and a top paper will be selected at each of the commissions.



The global award and the first prize will be granted to two eminent intellectuals and the second prize will be awarded to two scholars in the fields of economic sciences and education and training.



A sum-up session of foreign guests of the congress will be held in English on November 17 and the IRIB Conference Hall in Tehran will host the congress on November 18 from 8 a.m. local time.



The international event will conclude on November 19 in the holy city of Qom.
