Great Potentials of Hajj Should Be Used Against Sectarian Plots
Imam Khamenei made the statement on Monday, November 11, in a meeting with the country’s Hajj officials, adding that the world arrogance and colonizers have long experience in fanning the flames of sectarian conflicts and that in order to confront their plots, the potentials of Hajj should be activated.
His Eminence described Hajj as a Divine blessing that has never-ending potential for creating understanding around the common needs of the Muslim world.
The Supreme Leader said that one of the big problems of the Muslims world today is (the enemies’ attempts to) inflame sectarian disputes.
Imam Khamenei stated that provoking sectarian disputes will not be limited to Shias and Sunnis and that if the enemies of Islam manage to institutionalize these disputes they will go on to pit sects within Sunni and Shia schools against one another.
His Eminence referred to the never-ending potential of Hajj for creating understanding around the common needs of the Muslim world and underlined that many of the potentials of Hajj have remained unknown and that these potentials should be identified and tapped.
Imam Khamenei also appreciated the efforts of the Hajj officials and their services to Hajj pilgrims this year and hoped that the non-ending potential of Hajj will be used to serve the Muslim world more than before.
Prior to Imam Khamenei’s statements, Hojat-ol-Islam Qaziasgar, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs, and Ohadi, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, presented reports on this year’s Hajj operation.
