Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem made the remark while delivering his Friday prayers sermons at Manama’s Imam Sadeq (AS) Mosque yesterday, adding that these governments misuse such groups through politically-motivated and materialistic Fatwas, Sawt Al-Manama website reported.
“Today the decisions of certain governments are made by extremist groups that are keen on taking revenge on nations,” he said.
Ayatollah Qassem stressed that the issue of terrorism will not end as long as there are Dar-ul-Ifta Centers (centers issuing Fatwas) which follow puppet governments.
Elsewhere in his sermon, the senior cleric criticized some un-Islamic behaviors seen on the day of Ashura, saying that walking on hot charcoal or women’s running in Touyrij ceremony are not worthy of a faithful society.
