Hezbollah’s Weapons Aimed at Confronting Zionist Enemy

Head of Lebanon’s Free Patriotic Movement Michel Aoun said the weapons of Hezbollah resistance movement are for confronting the Zionist enemy.

Aoun made the remark in an interview with MTV network stressing Hezbollah’s legitimate right to keep its weapons, lorientlejour website reported.

He underlined his full support for Hezbollah, saying “If I am elected Lebanon’s president, I will still continue my support for the resistance group because Hezbollah’s weapons are legitimate and for confronting the Zionist enemy.”

The Christian political activist went on to say that the current situation in the region and the continued war with the Zionist regime require that Hezbollah keep its weapons.

Lebanon’s current president Michel Suleiman is set to step aside in early 2014 and Michel Aoun is one of the candidates for replacing him.
