According to Sabar website, the copies are to be distributed in Dutch-speaking countries.
Salim Al-Hamr, director of Kuwait’s Zakat Committee, said the decision to publish the Quran exegesis in the Dutch language was made during a recent visit to The Hague, the Netherlands, by a delegation from the committee.
He said the 13500 copies will be distributed in the Netherlands, as well as Belgium, Suriname, and South Africa, where Dutch is spoken.
Al-Hamr said the move aims to promote the teachings of the Holy Quran in the Dutch-speaking communities.
He hoped the distribution of the copies will help Dutch-speaking Muslims get more acquainted with the Holy Book.
