Iran Holds "A Night with Quran" in Sumatra

Iranian Cultural Center in Indonesia held a Quranic session in Palembang city of Sumatra Island.

 According to IQNA’s branch in East Asia, the program titled “A Night with Quran” was attended by a number of officials of the city, Iranian representatives and eminent figures of Nihzah Al-Ulama of Indonesia.

It was addressed by Hojat-ol-Islam Shahrakhti, Iranian preacher, who recited some verses of the Holy Quran and talked about the virtues of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He noted that it is the love for the Holy Quran that has brought the two nations together.
Tawasheeh, choral singings and eulogies in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) were other parts of the program.
Palembang's primary religion is Muslim, but many of the inhabitants also practice Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Confucianism.
Various Quranic and religious programs are being held by Iranian preacher dispatched by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization to Sumatra Island of Indonesia.
Hojat-ol-Islam Shahrakhti, Quran reciter and expert of Quranic sciences, was officially invited by Al-Ittifaqiyyah Seminary directed under the supervision of Nihzah Al-Ulama of Indonesia.
The preacher held Quran recitation sessions, workshops on teaching Sowt and Lahn principles, and presented speeches in various sessions attended by some 3000 seminary students and lecturers.
