According to IQNA’s branch in West Asia, the competitions were organized with the presence of deputy of Iranian Cultural Center in Pakistan and Professor Tal’at Sami’ullah, principal of Islamabad Model College For Girls.
The students competed on recitation of the Holy Quran’s verses and performance of eulogies on the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Three top participants in each category were also awarded by the Iranian Cultural center.
Established in 1967, Islamabad Model College for Girls(Post Graduate), F-7/2, started as an Intermediate College but the very next year it was upgraded to degree level in the faculties of Science and Humanities.
The faculty of Home Economics was introduced in the college in 1976, the introduction of Postgraduate classes in the subjects of Arabic, Economics and Islamic Studies was in 1982, English in 1989 and Psychology in 1991.
