Jordanian Quran Activists Compete to Qualify for Int’l Quran Contest
The 22nd edition of Al-Hashimi International Quran Competition will be organized by Jordan’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry in the holy month of Ramadan (July).
The preliminary contest for introducing Jordan’s representatives has started in all of the country’s provinces, Hayil Abdul Hafiz Davoud, the minister of Awqaf said.
He said the five top contestants in each category will go to the next round and then the best ones are selected for the international event.
Davoud noted that 37 Muslim and Arab countries have been invited to take part in the Al-Hashimi International Quran Competition.
It will be held in two separate sections for men and women in the categories of memorization, recitation and interpretation of the Quran.
