The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine has organized the program, which kicked off on Saturday, February 22, the website of the Astan reported.
According to Hassan Al-Mansouri, head of Astan’s Dar-ol-Quran Center, the course aims to train professional individuals to serve as judges in national and international Quranic contests.
Ammar Al-Khazaee, another official with the center, said a number of Quran experts oversee the course, which is attended by 65 individuals from 13 provinces.
He added that the participants will receive certificates if they manage to complete the course successfully.
The Quranic course will continue in the holy city until Thursday, February 27.
