Int’l Contest on Hazrat Zeynab's Sermon (SA) Concludes in Karbala

An international contest on memorization of the sermon of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) concluded on February 23 in Karbala.


According to Noon website, the competition was held by “Al-Houra” Center for Supervising Girls’ Affairs which is affiliated to the custodianship of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine.

Hazrat Zeynab (SA) Hall of Husseini holy shrine in Karbala hosted participants from different provinces of Iraq.

The competition was simultaneously organized in countries such as Iran, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and four cities of Britain with 9000 participants.

Sa’d Al-Din Hashim Al-Bana, the general supervisor of the center, said that the Education and Training Office of Karbala Province cooperated with the center in the organization of the international competition and assigned 70 experts to supervise the event.

He added that the day, when the competition was held, is an important day and taking into account the large number of participants in the competition, he proposed to name the day as the “World Day of Helping Hazrat Zeynab (SA)”.
