Quranic TV, Radio Launched in Mauritania

The first Quranic TV and radio network was launched in Mauritania on Sunday.

The country’s President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz attended the inauguration ceremony of the network, whose name is Madrassa (school), the fr.alakhbar website reported.
After the ceremony, the president toured the building of the network and learned about its planned activities.
Madrassa broadcasts Quran recitations as well as speeches by Muslim scholars on the teachings of Islam.
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania, is a country in the Maghreb region of western North Africa. Nearly all Mauritanians are Muslim.
