Egypt to Introduce Representatives for Jordan Quran Contest

Egypt will organize a contest on Wednesday to select country’s representatives in Jordan’s International Quran Competition.

Egypt’s Awqaf Ministry will hold the contest to select one male and one female Quran memorizer to compete for the country in the Jordanian Quranic event.
A committee headed by Farajullah Shazli, secretary general of Egypt’s Quran Reciters Union, supervises the contest.
Other members of the committee include Quranic figures Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Tiblawi and Sheikh Yusuf Ali Badr.
The 22nd edition of Jordan’s international Quran competition is scheduled to be held in the holy month of Ramadan (July) in three categories.
The categories of the men’s section are memorization of the entire Quran along with interpretation, memorization of 20 Juzes (parts) of the Quran along with Tajweed recitation, and memorization of 10 Juzes along with Tajweed.
