Iran to Send Representatives to Kuwait, Tunisia Int’l Quran Contests

The Islamic Republic of Iran will dispatch representatives to the international Quran competitions in Kuwait and Tunisia, a Quranic official said.

Head of the Quranic Affairs Center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, Vali Yarahmadi, told IQNA that Hassan Soleymani and Seyyed Mohammad Kermani will represent Iran in the 5th international Quran contest in Kuwait.
They will compete in the categories of memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran respectively, he said.
He noted that the competition is scheduled to be held for 6 days, starting from April 2.
According to Mr. Yarahmadi, Mahmoud Noruzi and Peyman Ayazi will attend the Tunisia international Quran competition for Iran.
He said the Tunisian Quranic event will be held in May, 2014, adding that Noruzi is going to compete in the memorization and recitation category while Ayazi will take part in the category of memorization of the entire Quran.
