The ceremony will be held in the city’s Culture Palace by the Sharjah Quran and Nabawi Sunnah Institute, Al-Bayan daily reported.
Those who won the top titles in the men’s section of the contest are awarded today while women prize winners will be honored in a separate program tomorrow.
The annual competition, which is in its 17th year, has helped to encourage raising a generation of Quran memorizers.
This year, new categories had been added to the competition including Quran memorization for prayer leaders of mosques and Adhan reciters.
As much as 1 million AED was spent to hold this edition of the Quran competition, officials said.
