Imam Ali (AS) Specialized Library to be Launched in Karbala

A specialized library of Islamic studies named Imam Ali (AS) Library is planned to be launched in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.

According to Sayyid Nabil Al-Husseini, an official with the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, the Astan’s Islamic studies and research department is setting up the library.
He said establishing a specialized Nahj-ul-Balaqa library in Karbala is also on the Astan’s agenda.
He noted that an international research foundation to conduct studies on the Nahj-ul-Balaqa has already been launched in the holy city.
Elaborating on the activities of the department, Al-Husseini stated that it conducts research on different aspects of the life and thoughts of Imam Hussein (AS) and the uprising of Ashura.
It also publishes a specialized journal titled “Al-Warith” containing articles on Islamic and cultural issues, he went on to say.
