Iran’s Representatives to Attend Tunisia, Jordan Int’l Quran Contests

The Islamic Republic of Iran will send representatives to the international Quran competitions in Tunisia and Jordan


Vali Yarahmadi, head of the Quranic affairs center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, told IQNA that Peyman Ayazi and Mohammad Noruzi will respectively represent the country in the Quran memorization and Quran recitation categories of Tunisia’s Quranic event.

He said the international Quran competition of Tunisia will be held in the North African country from May 4 to 8.

The official added that Jordan’s international Quran competition is slated to begin on May first in the capital city of Amman.

According to the official, Elham Hosseinzadeh will be sent to Amman to compete for Iran in the women’s section of the contest.

Yarahmadi went on to emphasize that Iran’s representatives are always among the major contenders in international Quranic competitions.
