Iran, Albania to Expand Religious, Cultural Ties

Iran’s cultural attaché in Albania and the new leader of Albania’s Muslim community explored ways for developing religious and cultural cooperation.

In a meeting with Eskandar Brochai on Monday, Azizi, the Iranian cultural envoy, congratulated Brochai on his election as the new head of Albania’s Muslim community and discussed development of religious and cultural ties, IQNA’s Europe branch reported.
Mozaffari, Iran’s ambassador in Albania, who was also present at the meeting, underlined Iran’s willingness for cooperation and enhancing Islamic unity.
Brochai, for his part, appreciated Iranian institutions’ efforts to present Islamic teachings in the European country. 
Islam is the largest religion in Albania where around 60 percent of the population is Muslim.
