Encouraged by the tremendous response to the French and German editions of the 800-page “Mazameen-i-Quran-i-Hakeem” it has now been decided to publish this unique Reference Book on the Holy Quran in all the major languages of the world, said Zahid Malik, Editor-in-Chief Pakistan Observer and the Chairman Foundation for Coexistence of Civilizations (FCC) in his opening remarks at the launch of French and German Editions of Mazameen-i-Quran-i-Hakeem” held at the spacious lawns of the Governor’s House in Karachi, Pakistan Observer reported.
In his usual humbleness Mr. Malik said that he was not a religious scholar but he had a yearning from the very beginning to serve the cause of Quran and he was convinced that the subject-wise teachings of the Holy Quran will help the world understand the real spirit of the message of almighty Allah addressed to the entire humanity in an undiluted form. “Quran was not revealed for the Muslims only but for the entire humanity”, he emphasized.
Mr. Malik said that he had already started initial work on the Spanish edition but as time was running out and he was on the wrong side of the age, therefore, he has now decided to turn his individual efforts into a proper well-manned body/institute. He said it meant that four or five versions of the “ Mazameen-i-Quran-i-Hakeem in widely spoken languages including Chinese, Russian, Swedish and Swahili will be undertaken simultaneously. “ it is a huge task and only government-funded institutions and universities can accomplish such a mega project but I am confident that some divine support will come in due course” Mr. Malik said.
