Hadi Hanoun al-Arezi, head of the university’s Supreme Council for Quranic Activities, said the center will be launched in a few days, the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine reported.
He made the remark in a meeting with Sayyid Abdul Aziz al-Musawi, director of the Dar-ol-Quran (house of Quran) center affiliated to the Astan of Imam Ali (AS).
During the meeting, the two discussed ways for cooperation in different fields of Quranic activities.
Also, al-Azrezi learned about the programs and activities of the Dar-ol-Quran center and its experiences in various Quranic fields.
Iraq has turned into a leading country in terms of Quranic activities, especially since the fall of former dictator Saddam Hussein.
The holy cities of Najaf and Karbala have been the main centers of Quranic programs such as Quranic courses, competitions, book fairs and Quran exhibitions.
