Mahmoud Norouzi will compete for Iran in the international Quranic event, Fars news agency reported.
Earlier this year, Norouzi took part in Tunisia’s international Quran contest and won the third title.
He had also come third in Iran’s national Quran competition last year.
Sudan’s international Quran competition is slated for January 2015 in the capital Khartoum.
It will be held on memorization of the entire Quran along with interpretation of the Holy Book’s 25th Juz (section).
Last year, Mostafa Dabbagh represented Iran in the contest but failed to win any titles.
