Hamid Reza Tayyebi, head of Iran’s University Jihad (Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research- ACECR) told IQNA that preparations are underway to launch the center.
He said that interdisciplinary research will lead to outstanding works in different fields including Quranic studies.
Earlier this year, Head of the Iranian Academics' Quranic Activities Organization Hamid Saber Farzam said a center for interdisciplinary Quranic studies will open in the country in the near future.
He underlined the need for brining Quranic sciences into people's lives and said for that to happen there is need for linking Quranic sciences with other sciences.
In a world that moves toward specialization, one can better know the Quran through interdisciplinary studies, Saber Farzam stated.
The University Jihad has been taking steps in that direction for some time, he noted, adding that one these steps was the publication of a journal featuring interdisciplinary Quranic research.
