According to the website of Alawi holy shrine, the group comprised members of Quranic Dissemination Section of the Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to the Religious Affairs Section of the holy shrine.
Hassan Hadi Al-‘Alak, president of Kufa University and Hadi Hanun Al-‘Arezi, head of the Education Section of the university were the representatives of the academic center attended the meeting.
Muhammad Fakhruddin, head of the Quranic section said that the two parties discussed cooperation in holding Quranic circles at the faculties affiliated to the university, competitions in Quranic memorization, recitation and interpretation, Quranic meetings and Quranic courses for the university students.
The university officials welcomed the delegation and expressed their readiness to cooperate with the holy shrine’s custodianship.
They also stressed that promoting Quranic culture among the students is an objective of the university and a Quran teaching center of the university will open in the near future in line with the objective.
The meeting was organized following a visit that head of the Quranic Activities Committee of the university had with the officials in charge of Alawi holy shrine’s custodianship where he had requested the officials to cooperate to hold Quranic programs at the university.
